Gasgoo Munich- As major global markets tighten regulations on high-level autonomous driving, a fully certified full-stack solution combining algorithms, chips, and operating systems has become essential for automakers expanding overseas.
On August 19, Momenta (6880.HK), XHEART, and BlackBerry's QNX division announced a joint partnership to build a mass-production autonomous driving platform that meets global safety standards. Momenta will contribute its full-stack autonomous driving algorithms, XHEART will supply its automotive-grade X7 SoC chip, and QNX will provide a safety operating system based on SDP 8.0.

The joint solution has achieved TÜV Rheinland's ISO 26262 ASIL D certification — the highest level for functional safety — and meets entry requirements for regulated markets like Europe under UN R171 (Driver Control Assistance Systems). This provides a compliance foundation for automakers developing intelligent driving models for international markets.
Sun Huan, Momenta's senior vice president, noted that safety must be the core premise for scaling physical AI globally, adding that this solution will help automakers navigate international expansion with greater confidence. For its part, QNX stated that the collaboration solidifies its leadership in autonomous driving foundational software.
With Europe and the Middle East continuously raising standards for functional and cybersecurity in advanced driver assistance systems, deep integration between foundational software, chips, and algorithms has become a critical prerequisite for mass production. Available to global mainstream automakers, the three-way partnership aims to drive the large-scale deployment of advanced driver assistance features.
