As the domestic leading faulty auto products information gathering platform, 12356auto.com received 10,926 valid complaints on auto products from consumers in Q3 2016, increasing 7.5% with last quarter and increasing 29.7% with the same period of last year. Till now, the number of average monthly complaint cases in the previous three quarters in 2016 all exceeds 10,000, creasing a new record in the website. The complaints in this quarter refer to 550 auto series from 120 brands, increasing 40 series from last quarter and increasing 39 series with the same period of last year. Data reveals that 3,634, 3,748 and 3,544 complaint cases were received in July, August and September respectively.
The complaining consumers have a gender proportion of 6.9 male to 1 female in Q3 2016. Consumers with age ranging from 26 to 30 are the most, second by those aging from 31 to 35, accounting for 61.1% of the total. Vehicles which are used for 1 to 3 years in Q3 face the most complaints, occupying 28.7%. Total new vehicles complaints are decreasing with Q2 in the past half year.
Self-independent brands face 3,888 complaints in Q3 2016, occupying 36% and increasing 216 cases with Q2. Joint-venture brands have 6,805 complaints, occupying 62% and increasing 503 cases. Imported brands face 233 complaints, occupying 2% and increasing 47 cases.
Self-independent brands face the most complaints, second by American brands, German brands, Japanese brands, French brands, European brands and Korean brands, with numbers of 3,431, 949, 826, 750, 410 and 282 respectively.
Compact models and SUVs face most complaints, with numbers of 4,570 and 4,126 respectively, accounting for 80% of the total. Jiangsu, Guangdong and Shandong are the main zones for consumer complaints. Complaints for auto quality problems increase 708 cases with last quarter, increasing 0.5 percentage points. Service problem complaints decrease while comprehensive problem complaints increase 123 cases.
Traditional complaining problems in Q3 involve engine quality problems, transmission quality problems, clutch problems, steering system problems and tire problems.
