Bentley Shanghai Motor Sales will recall 99 automobiles on the Chinese mainland starting November 1 due to concerns that the ornament on the hood could pose a risk to pedestrians in the event of a crash, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China.
Models affected include the Arnage Series, Azure and Brooklands, which were produced between October 2006 and March 2009. The ornament will be replaced free of charge.
Last year, more than 500 vehicles under the Bentley brand were sold in China, making the country the automaker's third-largest global market by sales volume following the US and the UK.
