Bentley to recall 99 models in China for rusty ornament

Gasgoo From Global Times

Bentley Shanghai Motor Sales Ltd. (Bentley China) will recall a total of 99 imported models in the Chinese mainland starting next month, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ).

Models to be recalled include: Arnage Series, Azure and Brooklands, which were manufactured between October 2006 and March 2009. Reasons for the recall are that their retractable 'Flying B' bonnet ornament may corrode to the point that it doesn't retract in the event of a crash, among other causes.

Bentley China says that it will replace the faulty mechanism with a newer, rust-free version free of charge.
