This deal marks another step forward in Brembo's strategic rollout of Sensify™. The company recently started mass production of the platform for leading global manufacturers and signed contracts with several new clients, solidifying its technological leadership in intelligent braking.
Sensify™ is an intelligent braking platform built on a fully dry brake-by-wire architecture. Unlike traditional electro-mechanical braking (EMB), the system fuses next-generation hardware with adaptable software layers, allowing for seamless integration into software-defined vehicle architectures. It enables automakers to deploy advanced braking functions flexibly across multiple platforms, ensuring scalability, consistency, and long-term value throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.
Under the partnership, Brembo and Ningbo Huaxiang will drive the localization and large-scale application of Sensify™ in China, accelerating the adoption of next-generation software-defined vehicle architectures.
"China is the most dynamic and innovative automotive market in the world," said Daniele Schillaci, CEO of Brembo Group. He noted that Ningbo Huaxiang, a leader in China's auto components sector, brings strong industrial synergy in electronics, interior and exterior trim, and metal parts. This strategic partnership is a crucial move for Brembo to integrate into China's automotive ecosystem and localize its innovative solutions.
"The rapid development of high-level autonomous driving and intelligent chassis systems is creating unprecedented opportunities for the supply chain," said Zhou Xiaofeng, chairman of Ningbo Huaxiang. "This partnership will leverage Brembo's strong brand influence and technical expertise in braking, combined with Ningbo Huaxiang's core strengths in precision manufacturing and customer insights, to jointly drive technological innovation and industrial upgrades in China's intelligent chassis sector."
The deal remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
