Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On Jan. 12, Automotive intelligence and Control of China (AICC) signed an airport shuttle bus order worth tens of millions of yuan — a sign that its Level 3 autonomous-driving platform for OEM, factory-installed mass production has moved into large-scale deliveries. The collaboration targets three goals — "smart mobility, efficient connections, and round-the-clock operations" — deploying autonomous shuttle functions in airport scenarios to help automakers efficiently develop Level 3 models and deliver high-quality volumes.

AICC's self-developed Computing Base and Development System (CBDES), positioned as the “vehicle brain” within its vehicle–road–cloud integrated solution, will support OEM mass-production deliveries across the full cycle — from design and development, through integration and deployment, to on-vehicle validation.
The newly signed airport program leverages CBDES's layered, decoupled stack — platform hardware, operating system and application software — pairing a localized main domain controller with multi-sensor fusion to safeguard functional safety and operational reliability from the software and hardware foundations up.
At the algorithm level, built on the proprietary ICVOS operating system, the end-to-end in-house stack spans perception fusion, high-precision localization and decision planning, and is deeply optimized for closed, low-speed airport environments to deliver high-accuracy perception and intelligent decision-making.
Integrated with an intelligent operations cloud, the solution enables a closed loop of remote monitoring, data management and autonomous charging. It optimizes dispatch across airport lane changes, bridge-and-culvert passages and peak-time diversions, while dynamically adjusting strategies in real time. Supported functions include autonomous navigation, advanced cruise, automatic obstacle avoidance, smart lane changes, intersection handling, automated docking, automatic U-turns, auto charging completion and self-parking back to bay — enabling end-to-end driverless operations.
