China’s JMC to Launch Four New Models of Alternative Energy Vehicles in Five Years

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai Dec 16) China’s Jiangling Motor Corporation (short for JMC) established a new company of alternative energy vehicle in China in early 2015.

Jiangling E100 has now been launched in some parts of China. And another four new models including upgraded E100 will be launched in following years. The production of electric vehicles of JMC is expected to reach between 60,000 and 70,000 units by 2020

JMC develops two product lines including electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles according to Qiu Tiangao, president of JMC. On one hand, the sales of electric vehicles aim to take up a market share of 10%.

The sales of E100 have got to 3,200 units by the end of October and are expected to stand at 5,000 units by the end of this year.

According to its product planning in the future, JMC is about to launch the upgraded model of E100. And E200, E160 and E170 which JMC is developing now will also be brought to market later.

So as to adapt to the brand development and market demand, JMC will also use a new logo in the future.

It is understood that JMC were currently developing several models of electric vehicles, aiming to realize R&D, production and sales of electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, core parts, charging system and battery replacement system.
