Although market share rebounded a little last month, Chinese-brand vehicles' overall market share has been falling for months, which an industry expert earlier said was mainly caused by launch of various joint venture vehicles, such as the Volkswagen Golf and the likes that intensified competition between small displacement cars in the Chinese market.
