The record-setting example happens to also be one of 350 units of the brand's top LP 670-4 SuperVeloce model. One lucky buyer in China will take delivery in a few weeks.
Lamborghini is especially proud of its sales achievement, pointing out that only 2900 Diablos -- the Murcielago's predecessor -- were built in its 11-year lifespan.
The Pacific-Asian region, Lambo officials say, is responsible for 25 percent of all annual sales. China has a network of seven authorized dealerships, each reporting increasing sales figures.
