Shanghai, June 24 (Gasgoo.com) Volkswagen's China venture FAW-VW will hold a launch ceremony for the Chinese-made CC car in Shanghai on July 15 this year. The new four-seat, four-door CC car is expected to be sold for less than 320,000 yuan ($47,000) in the local market, similar to the same level Audi A4L comfort model, media reported lately.

The new CC car's waistline has been lifted up a lot, making it look quite elegant and sporty. Moreover, it is equipped with panoramic sunroof, frameless doors, adaptive cruise control system and lane keeping system, bringing the driver a more humane operating experience and better security.

On top of that, the new CC car uses a power portfolio of the 2.0-liter TSI engine (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) and the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox), and reduces the fuel consumption by at least 15% and carbon emissions by at least 20% compared with the conventional powertrain system.

As FAW-VW's flagship product, the new CC car marks that the joint venture has entered in a higher-end car segment in China's auto market.
