Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 17) - Chinese production of the new generation Audi A6L will begin this December at FAW Volkswagen's factory in Changchun, Jilin, the Beijing Youth Daily reported today. According to company sources, FAW-VW will begin selling the car next year.
According to insider information, FAW-VW will be holding discussions with auto part suppliers and dealers when releasing a new model. The A6L (pictured), codenamed T99, will be no exception, with meetings planned between FAW-VW's research and development, testing, technology and other departments.
The new A6L will reportedly be around 100mm longer than its predecessor. The overseas version of the car comes with a choice of 2.0 L, 2.8 L or 3.0 L TFSI engines. It is unclear which version or versions FAW-VW will opt to use.
