Shanghai (Gasgoo)- DENZA, a premium auto brand
majority-owned by BYD, received orders totaling 5,679 units of the D9
only 24 hours after presale of the fire new MPV model kicked off on May
16.

The D9 comes with 6 trim levels including both PHEV (namely, DM-i) and BEV versions, featuring a presale price range of 335,000-460,000 yuan ($49,655-68,180). Besides, a founder's edition is offered at the same time, priced at 660,000 yuan ($97,830) in presale with a limited supply of 99 units.
The D9 adopts DENZA's
brand-new design language, “π-Motion.” With dimensions of 5,250mm long,
1,960mm wide, 1,920mm tall, and a wheelbase of 3,110mm, the D9 plays in
the league of full-sized MPVs.

It will adopt a 2-2-3 seating arrangement with the second-row passengers getting the royal treatment.
All variants of the D9 come standard with power sliding doors, a large panoramic sunroof, Dynaudio's high-quality audio system, rear-bench air-conditioning, and double-layer mute glass on all four doors.
Riding on BYD's e-platform 3.0, the full-electric variants can travel over 600km on a single charge under CLTC (China light-duty vehicle test cycle), and have a maximum charging power of 166kW.
The DM-i versions are equipped with a PHEV-dedicated 1.5L Xiaoyun Engine. The combined CLTC range in the DM-i versions is between 945km and 1,040km. They support up to 80kW DC fast charging and allow fuel consumption as low as 6.2 liters per 100km.
