Gasgoo Munich- Marelli confirmed Laurent Favre as chief executive on November 6, effective immediately. He succeeds Frederick "Fritz" Henderson, who steps down after serving as interim CEO. The move follows an April announcement by the auto supplier's lender group outlining the succession plan. Favre will now steer the company through its Chapter 11 restructuring and drive Marelli into its next phase of transformation.

Meanwhile, Marelli's lender group plans to name Bram Schot as board chairman once the Chapter 11 process wraps up and all preconditions are met. Schot will support the CEO and management team in executing strategic priorities. A 30-year auto industry veteran, he has held senior roles at Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen Group, and previously served as Audi's chief executive.
Dinesh Paliwal, Marelli's executive chairman, said Favre brings a deep understanding of the global auto sector and a strong track record leading complex international businesses. For his part, Favre called the Chapter 11 process his immediate priority. Beyond that, he aims to steady operations, restore financial health, lift overall performance, and rebuild customer confidence through reliable deliveries.
Favre has spent more than two decades in senior roles at top-tier auto parts suppliers, with stints at ThyssenKrupp, ZF, and Benteler — where he led the automotive division as CEO. He most recently served as CEO of Plastic Omnium from 2020 to 2025. Marelli's board also credited Henderson for stabilizing operations, sharpening strategic focus, and maintaining customer dialogue during a critical stretch.
