Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 23) - Audi's Q3 may be produced at FAW Volkswagen's factory in Foshan, Guangzhou, the Beijing News reported today. If the rumors come to fruition, the Foshan production site will become FAW-VW's most important base after Changchun.
FAW-VW's Director of Public Relations Lu Minjie refused to confirm the news, saying that the JV was not in the position to confirm news on behalf of Audi AG. Mrs. Lu only said that FAW-VW will try their utmost to produce the Q3 in China.
The Foshan factory is reported to specialize in Audi vehicles built on the future MQB platform, which will not only include the Q3, but also the A1 and A3. FAW-VW's primary factory in Changchun is supposedly already pressed to the limit.
