Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 2) - A fire broke out at the painting facility at Jianghuai Automobile's passenger automobile factory this Friday. The fire was reportedly caused by leaking heat transfer fluid. Nobody was injured. JAC is still conducting an investigation into the incident.

In an official statement picked up by a report appearing on p5w.net today, JAC said that the factory (pictured), which has been in operation for over a decade, will undergo a new safety upgrade. Furthermore, the manufacturer will now use different production lines in order to complete painting tasks, therefore it will not suffer any major productivity or financial losses.

JAC's stock fell .85 percent on Monday, finishing at 6.97 yuan ($1.1283).
