BYD launches Ocean Series' Seal 08
Another heavyweight has landed in China's sedan market. On July 2, the BYD Ocean Series' Seal 08 officially launched with an official guide price of 196,900 to 239,900 yuan, offering both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions.
Range and charging are among the most heavily weighted factors in consumer decision-making. The Seal 08 comes standard with a native flash-charging platform, achieving efficiency rates defined as "ready in 5 minutes, full in 9 minutes." The plug-in hybrid version offers a maximum pure-electric range of 400 km (CLTC) and a comprehensive range of 1,660 km on a full tank and charge. The pure electric version boasts a maximum range of 905 km (CLTC).
XPENG kicks off pre-sales for MONA L03
On the evening of July 2, XPENG kicked off pre-sales for its MONA L03, pricing it between 143,800 and 165,800 yuan.
Core hardware is top-tier from the start. The MONA L03 offers two computing configurations: the Ultra SE version packs dual Turing chips with effective computing power hitting 1,500 TOPS—bringing this level of performance to the 150,000-yuan SUV class for the first time. The entry-level Max version comes with a single Turing chip and 750 TOPS. The Ultra SE also features the full suite of second-generation VLA pure-vision intelligent driving functions.
Chery FULWIN T7: official images out
On July 2, Chery's FULWIN brand released the first official images of its new compact electric SUV, the T7, revealing key specifications and exterior details. The model is equipped with the "Rhino Battery," which meets the latest power battery safety standards, and offers a CLTC range of 600 km. This move fills a gap in the FULWIN lineup's compact EV segment.
Officially rated at 600 km on the CLTC cycle, the range covers most daily scenarios. This includes city commuting and inter-city travel, aiming to address range anxiety for electric vehicle users.
