1. Chery's AiMOGA Robotics Surpasses 2,000 Units in Global Deliveries
Global footprint expands to more than 60 countries and regions
·On July 30, Chery's AiMOGA Robotics announced that its cumulative global deliveries had exceeded 2,000 units, with products and services now reaching more than 60 countries and regions.
·The company also held ceremonies marking the delivery milestone and the shipment of robots to overseas markets, representing a shift from individual product exports toward larger-scale, systematic international expansion.
·AiMOGA Robotics began its global expansion in 2025 with automotive marketing services in Malaysia. It has since entered Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
·In 2026, the company participated in Automation Thailand 2026 and opened its first AI Experience Center in Vietnam.
·Its robots are used in automotive marketing, public-space navigation, smart policing, medical guidance and commercial reception. The company has also obtained EU CE and US FCC certifications.
2. BYD Among First Companies Certified Under China's New L2 Driving-Assistance Standard
Mandatory national standard will take effect on January 1, 2027
·BYD announced that it had participated in drafting GB 47955—2026, China's first mandatory national standard governing the safety of Level 2 combined driving-assistance systems.
·BYD is among the first companies certified under the new standard. The automaker said all models equipped with its "God's Eye" driving-assistance system exceed the standard's performance requirements.
·China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the standard on July 2. It is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027.
·Compared with UN Regulation No. 171, the Chinese standard introduces more detailed requirements covering operational design domains, system functions, driver monitoring and user information. It also adds testing scenarios and procedures designed for China's complex road conditions.
·On July 28, BYD received certification for its organizational safety-management system, covering driving-assistance development, production control and safety validation.
·Other organizations involved in drafting the standard included Huawei, Xiaomi, Tesla, NIO, XPENG and Li Auto. The standard is intended to establish a unified safety baseline for Level 2 driving assistance in China.
3. GAC Group and The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University Partner on Motion-Sickness Prevention
Cooperation will combine automotive engineering with clinical and neuroscience expertise
·On July 30, GAC Group signed a letter of intent with The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University to jointly research and apply technologies designed to prevent motion sickness.
·GAC will contribute expertise in vehicle development, vehicle dynamics and intelligent cockpits, while the hospital will provide capabilities in clinical medicine, vestibular physiology and neuroscience.
·The two parties plan long-term cooperation on motion-sickness mechanisms, the commercialization of research findings and the development of industry standards.
