Dongfeng Nissan Unveils NX7, Its Fourth N-Series Model

Dongfeng Nissan has unveiled the NX7, the fourth model in its N-series lineup, following its appearance in the 410th batch of new vehicle filings released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

The NX7 measures 4,785 mm in length, 1,932 mm in width and 1,665 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. The SUV is designed to offer a spacious and comfortable cabin for both daily commuting and weekend trips.

The NX7 will feature a 40.9-kWh battery supplied by CATL, with its CLTC-rated pure-electric range expected to exceed 300 km. The vehicle will also be equipped with LiDAR and support urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA). It is reportedly expected to adopt Momenta's latest R7 large model, enhancing perception and recognition capabilities in complex driving environments.

The NX7 is aimed at younger consumers, combining a more premium exterior design with advanced intelligent-driving features as Dongfeng Nissan continues to strengthen its position in China's new energy vehicle market.

Leapmotor A10 Hits 100,000 Units in Just 135 Days

Leapmotor has produced its 100,000th A10, a small all-electric SUV, just 135 days after the model went on sale, setting a new production milestone for the RMB 100,000-and-under pure-electric SUV segment.

The A10 measures 4,270 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. It is powered by a 90-kW electric motor and is available with 39.8-kWh and 53-kWh battery packs, with a maximum CLTC range of 505 km.

Intelligent features are a key selling point. The A10 uses a dual-chip setup featuring Qualcomm's SA8155 cockpit chip and SA8650 intelligent-driving chip, and also comes with LiDAR, making it one of the first models in the RMB 100,000 price range to offer advanced driver-assistance hardware. The model is available in four variants, with prices starting at RMB 65,800.

Since its March 26 launch, the A10 has maintained strong sales momentum. Deliveries reached 28,593 units in July, making it a key growth driver for Leapmotor. The automaker delivered 101,267 vehicles globally in July, up 102.01% year on year, becoming the first Chinese EV startup to exceed 100,000 monthly deliveries.

116,000 New Humanoid Robot Companies Registered in H1, China Eyes 100,000-Unit Annual Output

China added 116,000 newly registered companies in the humanoid robotics sector during the first half of 2026, up 9.5% year on year, according to data released by the State Administration for Market Regulation on August 8.

The figure highlights the rapid expansion of humanoid robotics as one of China's key emerging industries.

Investment in China's embodied intelligence sector also surged. Total financing reached RMB 93.5 billion in H1 2026, five times the level recorded in the same period last year, while 322 financing deals were completed, up 137% year on year.

Mass production is accelerating as well. According to MIIT, China produced around 20,000 humanoid robots in 2025, while output exceeded 40,000 units in the first half of 2026. Annual production is expected to surpass 100,000 units this year.

Leading robotics companies are also scaling up production. AgiBot announced in early June that it had produced its 15,000th humanoid robot, while Unitree reportedly completed production of around 11,000 units in March. Unitree is scheduled to launch its STAR Market IPO subscription on August 10 and could become the first humanoid robotics company to go public on China's A-share market.
