Momenta Robotaxi Secures Shenzhen Road Testing Permit

Chinese robotaxi firm Momenta has received a road testing permit for its Robotaxi service in Shenzhen, allowing it to begin on-road testing in one of China's leading autonomous driving hubs.

The approval marks Momenta's first Robotaxi deployment in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and expands its testing network to Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Shenzhen, as well as overseas locations including Munich and Abu Dhabi.

The company says it is accelerating its global rollout and plans to launch advanced autonomous driving services in more cities before the end of the year.

BYD Launches Upgraded Seal 05 DM-i in Mexico

BYD has launched the Seal 05 DM-i plug-in hybrid sedan in Mexico, where it will be sold as the new BYD KING.

Powered by BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, the model offers a claimed driving range of up to 1,680 kilometers under the NEDC standard—setting a new benchmark for plug-in hybrid sedans in the Mexican market.

The new model replaces the previous BYD KING, which has been one of Mexico's best-selling plug-in hybrids since its launch in 2024. It also features a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google Gemini integration.

BYD says the launch underscores its long-term commitment to the Mexican market as it continues expanding its global footprint.
