ClSma: On April 2, Volkswagen (China), Volkswagen (Anhui) Digital Sales Service Co., and FAW-VW signed a strategic cooperation memorandum on dealer networks. The two sides will launch a "store-within-a-store" model at select FAW-VW dealerships to showcase and sell Volkswagen (Anhui)'s latest new energy models. The Vw 08 will be the first model under this partnership. Another sedan in the ID. UNYX lineup, measuring 5 meters in length, is set to launch in the second half of this year with similar cooperation.
IT Home: Data from the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System shows that Shanghai Zunjie Zhixing Auto Technology Co., Ltd. was recently established, with Shu Jie as the legal representative. Key personnel include Li Xinxin (manager) and Wang Wei (finance head). The company has a registered capital of 30 million yuan. Fast Tech: On April 2, the 2026 NIO ET5 and ET5T officially went on sale, starting at 298,000 yuan. Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, prices start at 190,000 yuan. Simultaneously, NIO unveiled the 2026 ET5 and ET5T Natural Realm editions, designed as exclusive vehicles blending natural aesthetics with substance, starting at 310,000 yuan. With BaaS, these editions start at 202,000 yuan.

Interface News: On April 2, Chery Group announced that following its milestone in February as the first Chinese brand to surpass 6 million cumulative exports, it shipped 148,777 vehicles overseas in March alone — a 72% year-on-year surge that set a new record for monthly exports by a Chinese automaker. First-quarter exports reached 393,311 units, up 53.9%. Chery has now logged 11 straight months of monthly exports exceeding 100,000 units.
Interface News: On April 2, SAIC Motor released its latest sales figures, showing 376,000 vehicles sold in March, successfully securing the "monthly sales triple crown" so far this year. Wholesale sales for January through March totaled 973,000 units, a 3% year-on-year increase, maintaining a steady upward trend. ClSma: SG Micro stated during a recent roadshow that it continues to invest heavily and comprehensively in the automotive electronics sector. Currently, its automotive-grade products cover sensors, signal chains, and power management. Over 500 products certified to AEC-Q100 standards are already in mass production. Revenue from automotive-grade products has seen stable, rapid growth over the past few quarters. The company expects automotive electronics to account for 10% to 15% of total revenue within the next three to five years.
Gasgoo: Pateo recently released its 2025 annual performance data. Financial results show revenue reached 3.51 billion yuan in 2025, a 37.26% increase from 2.56 billion yuan in 2024. Revenue from core smart cockpit solutions hit 3.41 billion yuan, up 39.8% year-on-year and accounting for over 90% of total revenue, driving the growth. During the same period, deliveries of smart cockpit domain controllers reached 1.3 million units, a 40% jump from 900,000 units in 2024.
ClSma: Data from the Tianyancha App shows that Tangshan Gotion Battery Co., Ltd. recently underwent a business change, adding Xingyin Financial Asset Investment Co., Ltd. as a shareholder. Concurrently, registered capital increased from approximately 1.21 billion yuan to 1.43 billion yuan, a rise of about 18%. Founded in August 2016 with Ge Daobin as legal representative, the company engages in battery manufacturing, energy storage technical services, and sales of new energy vehicle parts. It is jointly held by Hefei Gotion High-Tech Power Energy Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Gotion High-Tech), Chongqing International Trust Co., Ltd., and the newly added shareholder.
Industrial Economy Focus
ClSma: On April 2, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index closed down 0.7%, while the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 1.63%. Gasgoo: Following a nearly 1 billion yuan Series B round in February, Xinghaitu recently secured another 2 billion yuan in a Series B+ round. This financing attracted top-tier investors, including industrial capital, leading long-term funds, state funds, and major private equity firms. The capital will be used to ramp up basic model development and global ecosystem expansion. Xinghaitu aims to lead in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) and world models based on real data, evolving from a "developer's first choice" to a "productivity benchmark" and accelerating the large-scale commercial deployment of embodied intelligence in the physical world.
Policy Updates
ClSma: On April 2, the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued the "Sichuan Electric Vehicle Charging Facility Service Capability Doubling Action Plan." The plan proposes accelerating the build-out of charging networks, optimizing infrastructure, and improving efficiency and service quality to boost consumer confidence and promote wider EV adoption. By the end of 2027, Sichuan aims to have 2.05 million charging facilities in place, providing over 17 million kilowatts of public charging capacity. This high-quality system is designed to meet the charging needs of 4 million electric vehicles, effectively doubling the province's charging service capabilities.
