Shanghai September 15th, 2017 Gasgoo-It’s learned from press conference that Zhongshan City will start the use of special plates for alternative energy vehicles from November, 2017, following the trial city Shenzhen in the popularization activity across Guangdong Province. Other cities including Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Jiangmen and Dongguan, will also start to use the new plates from the end of December, 2017. All cities in Guangdong Province will use the new plates from June 1st, 2018.
It’s said by relevant person taking charge of Traffic Management Bureau of Guangdong Province that, developing alternative energy buses could erase the energy and environmental pressure and promote the upgrades and transformation of auto industry. According to relevant plan, the special plates for alternative energy vehicles will gradually implemented in Guangdong Province to benefit the public.
It’s learned that the newly-registered alternative energy vehicles will use new license plates. The public could choose the plate number by random compute selection or self-selection. Online appointment service for changing plates is also provided for the public. Green path and specialized windows for registering alternative energy vehicles will also be opened for the public to get and install the new plates.
