Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 12) - Honda announced late last week that they will be recalling 249 vehicles worldwide, 76 of which were sold to Chinese customers, the Guangzhou Daily reported today. This recall will target Honda's Accord (pictured), Odyssey, Spirior and other models. However, due to the lack of seriousness of the recalls, the number of buyers who have been taking the initiative and going to dealers for replacements has reportedly been very low.
The recall is due to very small problems, such as faulty engine lights. Therefore, customers have not been in a rush to head to the dealers. According to staff at GAC's Junxing dealer in Jiangmen, Guangzhou, despite repeated attempts to contact owners of the affected vehicles via telephone and SMS, the number of people coming in for repairs has been extremely low. Dealer staff has urged owners to come in as soon as possible for free repairs and maintenance.
