Fars News Agency (Tehran) - The Middle-East's largest carmaker, the Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO), aims to promote its brand this year, the company announced on Wednesday.

Mir Javad Soleimani, IKCO Vice-president for quality and product development, said that the company is following plans that will lead to production increase in coming months.

Production increase is the top-priority program for the company this year, he said.

Over the past years, IKCO has been trying to localize the parts and boost to the production of its own brand car.

The company has recently started the mass production of Runna, one of its own brand cars, which would be present in global markets this year.

Soleimani said that concurrent introduction of Runna to both domestic and international markets would boost the company's standing.

The Vice-president hoped that the expansion of global markets by presenting new products and achieving satisfaction of more customers would bring about a boom in the company's global sales this year.
