Gasgoo.com (Shanghai November 5) - Jaguar Land Rover has announced the establishment of the brand new Apprentice Training Center in southern China, the Nanfang Metropolis Daily reported today. The center, which was formed in association with Guangdong Jidian Polytechnic, will focus on boosting staff members' maintenance and customer service skills.

The center will play an important role in developing Jaguar Land Rover's employee training system in China, as well as cultivating a new generation of talent to work in the country's growing automotive industry. The center's location in the heart of southern China is also crucial. According to President Bob Grace, southern China is one of the most important markets for Jaguar Land Rover, with the manufacturer possessing nearly 30 dealerships in the region. Mr. Grace added that 14 percent of the manufacturer's Chinese sales have come from the region.

Jaguar Land Rover has been rapidly expanding its sales network over the past few years. The manufacturer's total number of dealerships in the country has reached 141, with more than two-thirds of those already in operation. However, Mr. Grace added that the dealerships' inventory levels are relatively low and unable to satisfy high consumer demand. Approximately 60,000 Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles have been sold over the first ten months of the year.
