Gasgoo Munich-On March 10, the Shanghai International Group's official account reported that JCET Automotive Electronics (Shanghai) — a venture backed by the group — held a grand opening ceremony in Shanghai's Lingang Special Area. The event marks the official launch of China's first specialized chip packaging and testing plant dedicated to automotive electronics and robotics applications.

The JCET Automotive Electronics project was spearheaded by JCET (Jiangsu Changdian Technology Co., Ltd.) as a specialized automotive chip packaging and testing company established in the Lingang Special Area.
Prior to this, JCET announced on December 31, 2025, that its automotive-grade chip packaging and testing factory — JCET Automotive Electronics (Shanghai) — had achieved production line readiness as scheduled.
Positioned as an intelligent factory focused on automotive-grade chip packaging and testing, the project is located in the Lingang Special Area. It covers 210 mu of land, with the first phase featuring 50,000 square meters of clean room space.
JCETnoted that theproject hasbeen under construction since August 2023. Following two years of intense work and system integration, the team finished the main structure, moved in equipment, and passed process certification to enter operations.JCET Automotive Electronics offers one-stop packaging and testing services for finished automotive-grade chips, capable of supporting clients through the entire process from product introduction and certification to mass production ramp-up.
Notably, the factory is equipped with industry-leading automated production lines, achieving full coverage of smart manufacturing and lean management. It centers on key processes to build a globally leading, integrated solution for automotive-grade chip packaging and testing. Additionally, the facility introduces AI-assisted defect detection and utilizes a big data traceability system, forming a closed-loop quality and operational management system that is traceable, analyzable, and optimized.
