Kia to recall over 8,000 vehicles in China

Shanghai September 2 (Gasgoo.com) Kia Motors will recall more than 8,000 vehicles in China starting September 6 due to problems in courtesy lights caused by poorly welded electrical wiring at doors or a damage risk in welded parts, Beijing Times reported Thursday, according to South Korean reports.

The cars to be recalled in China are the Sorento and the Borrego made from September 2009 to June 2010. No information has been released by Kia China at present.

The South Korean automaker will recall 18,272 vehicles internationally, including 6,744 K7 sedans, 5,920 Souls, 4,305 Sorento Rs and 1,303 Mohave SUVs produced between September last year and July this year, according to sources.
