Shanghai, July 23 (Gasgoo.com) Nissan Motor Co. plans to recall 421 Civilian passenger cars in China due to possible fuel leakage problems, Bloomberg reported today, citing China's quality regulator.

The recall, beginning August 9, affects Nissan's 2004-2009 Civilian cars produced between March 1, 2004 and February 9, 2009, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement on its website on July 22.

The recall follows concerns that the bolts, linking the pipe to the transmission drive shaft, may collide with each other and be worn when the car is running. Though impossibly causing leakage, the cars still do not meet the country's mandatory standards, the statement said.

Nissan China announced that it would replace the fuel filter bracket and the oil pipe with the modified parts through its after-sales service networks across the country.

Starting July 26, Nissan China dealerships and after-sales service centers will inform owners of the recall by phone or email. For more information, the owners can call Nissan China Investment Co., Ltd. or visit the company's website.
