Gasgoo Munich- On March 4, 2026, the Ningbo Embodied Intelligence Robot Innovation Center under PIA Automation (SH688306) signed a cooperation agreement with Ningbo BODENAI. The two parties will collaborate on R&D and scenario applications for embodied intelligence, integrating hardware, data, and scenario resources to drive the technology from the laboratory into the front lines of industry.
PIA Automation brings over 60 years of experience in intelligent manufacturing equipment and industrial digital software services. Having delivered nearly 8,800 smart production lines to clients including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, the company established the Ningbo Embodied Intelligence Robot Innovation Center in 2025 to focus on robot body construction and algorithm adaptation for complex environments.
One of the core bottlenecks to scaling embodied intelligence lies in acquiring and processing real-world scenario data. PIA Automation has accumulated critical process data across industrial, medical, and consumer goods sectors, laying the groundwork for algorithm training. BODENAI, meanwhile, brings robust data acquisition and processing capabilities. Its proprietary BRIC Robo acquisition platform and Blink data management platform are designed to solve the challenges of large-scale real-world data collection.

The partnership aims to construct a closed-loop system spanning task distribution, data collection, annotation, algorithm training, deployment, and data feedback. Specific initiatives include leveraging PIA Automation' scenario advantages alongside BODENAI's data processing prowess to build high-quality training datasets for complex environments. Starting with industrial scenarios, the collaboration will gradually expand into vertical sectors such as home and commercial markets to deliver integrated solutions.
This collaboration integrates PIA Automation' robot bodies, operating systems, and deployment capabilities with BODENAI's data engineering expertise. Together, they aim to solve real-world perception and interaction challenges by combining data, hardware, and scenarios, ultimately driving the application of embodied intelligence in precision assembly and high-end equipment inspection.
