Gasgoo Munich- Pony.ai announced on August 10 that its global autonomous driving testing and operational mileage has officially topped 100 million kilometers. Founded in 2016, the self-driving company listed on Nasdaq in 2024 and completed a dual primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2025. It currently operates across two core sectors: Robotaxi and Robotruck.

On the Robotaxi front, the company reported total revenue of 236 million yuan for the first quarter of 2026 — a 145% year-on-year surge — with revenue from the Robotaxi business alone jumping 395.4%. By May 2026, the fleet had grown to over 1,700 vehicles, prompting Pony.ai to raise its year-end target to more than 3,500. Technologically, leveraging its "World Model" and "Virtual Driver" architecture, the company has deployed services across nine countries, including China, the U.S., and South Korea.
Also on August 10, Pony.ai kicked off mass production of its fourth-generation L4 autonomous heavy truck. Rolling off the production line at SANY Heavy Truck, these vehicles are destined for highway trunk lines, bulk commodity routes, and ports. He Xing, the company's vice president, previously indicated that deliveries will take place over the coming months.
Meanwhile, the first-generation L4 autonomous light truck has entered intensive road testing, targeting express delivery, retail, and cold-chain logistics. Disclosed figures show that supply chain synergies from the thousand-unit scale production of Robotaxis have helped slash the cost of autonomous kits by roughly 60% to 70% over the past two years. Hardware costs for the fourth-generation heavy truck have also fallen by 70% compared to the previous generation.
Hitting the 100 million-kilometer mark signals Pony.ai's full transition from technical verification to large-scale commercial operations. With both Robotaxi and Robotruck business lines advancing in tandem, the company is accelerating its global push to commercialize autonomous driving.
