Battery companies not listed on Specifications for Automotive Power Battery Industry will not be approved. After verification, many alternative energy vehicle companies have received relevant announcements.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a new batch of Promotion and Application Directory for Recommended Alternative Energy Vehicle Models. Currently three lists have been published, with a total of 1,022 alternative energy vehicle models. Also, three lists of Specifications for Automotive Power Battery Industry including 25 companies have been released.
To guide the healthy development of automotive power battery industry, The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology solicited public opinions on October, 2014. After a six-month soliciting period, the official reversion was formally released on March, 2015 and will be carried out since May 1st. The Specifications puts forward that the nation performs announcement management for qualified companies and companies submit applications by voluntary.
The Specifications and battery new national standards were released with a recommended purpose, but now they turn out to be compulsory standards after being connected with Promotion and Application Directory for Recommended Alternative Energy Vehicle Models.
For the purpose of regulating the market, the re-examination of promotion directory will make a stricter environment for auto products and battery safety on one hand, and will influence the alternative energy vehicle market growth on the other hand.
