Shanghai (Gasgoo)- SAIC Motor announced today its auto sales reached 492,742 units in Nov. 2022, sliding 18.06% and 2.1% compared to the year-ago and month-ago periods, respectively.
The group's monthly new energy vehicle (NEV) sales hit a new high of 129,946 units in November, leaping 57.91% over the previous year. During the same month, the group saw its export volume and sales of overseas markets total 111,043 units, which soared 48.75% year over year.

For the first eleven months of this year, the Shanghai-based auto giant sold 4,766,274 vehicles in total, representing a slight decrease of 0.76% compared to the same span of 2021. With 930,215 units sold, the NEV sector accounted for 19.5% of the group's year-to-date sales.
Among the group's subsidiaries, SAIC-GM-Wuling ("SGMW") outsold others in November with a sales volume of 170,000 units, facing an 11.92% year-on-year decrease, while posting a 6.25% month-on-month increase.

Both SAIC Volkswagen and SAIC-GM recorded a sales volume of over 100,000 units last month, but both of them failed to gain a year-on-year rise.
SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company ("SAIC Motor PV") saw its Nov. sales fall 26.87% over a year earlier, but its year-to-date sales still grow 8.17%.
In spite of the overall downturn, MG Motor India still witness its Nov. sales rocket 107.37% year on year to 5,118 units, which resulted in a year-to-date volume of 45,314 units (+22.03% YoY). The company's upward movement epitomized SAIC Motor's blooming performance in its export business.
