Rather than getting swept up in the race for larger models, Uncharted Dynamics is taking a different approach—drilling down to solve the physics first before worrying about scale.
The team has built a foundational engine anchored by a high-precision multibody dynamics solver, designed specifically to calculate physical processes that existing simulation systems either simplify or ignore entirely.
Analysts point out that while mainstream open-source or commercial solvers function adequately in simple rigid-body scenarios, they often quickly distort or fail when confronted with complex interactions closer to the real world—such as rigid-flexible coupling, flexible contact, or deformation calculations. This explains why models excel in simulations but struggle to transfer reliably to reality: the problem isn't a lack of generalization, but that the physical premises of the training data were flawed from the start.
