Shanghai January 17 (Gasgoo.com) Due to defects with its Cadillac CTS' passenger seat sensor pads, Shanghai GM announced that it will order recall of 7,939 units sold in China. The order will be targeted at imported models from 2005 to 2007 with production dates starting from March 23, 2004 to June 26, 2007.

Reportedly, the reason for this recall is a flaw that may cause the vehicle's passenger seat sensor pad to warp or bend, which may result in electrical fault leading the airbag light to turn on. Shanghai GM said that it will replace the sensor in the recalled units in order to prevent any future problems from occurring.
