Shanghai November 11 (Gasgoo.com) Skoda Auto A.S., Volkswagen AG's Czech division, will increase its current network of 250 dealerships in China to 600 in the next five years, said Skoda board chairman Winfried Vahland, the Beijing Times reported Thursday.

The company announced its "Skoda RS" strategy on November 8, which aims to propel its rapid growth in markets outside Europe and to at least double its car sales worldwide by 2020.

For this reason, Skoda, the German automaker's second-most profitable brand after Audi, has formulated plans to expand its model line-up, its production capacity at plants in Czech Republic and the scale of investment in overseas markets.
