Toyota Motor Corp on Thursday denied a Kyodo News agency report that it will voluntarily recall the Lexus GX460 sport utility vehicle, sold in North America, Russia and the Middle East.
"We are in the process of testing whether there is anything wrong with the model," spokeswoman Ririko Takeuchi said. "At this point there is no discussion about a voluntary recall."
Toyota has stopped sales of the model, launched late last year, after Consumer Reports magazine warned against buying it, calling it a "safety risk."
