While net profit turned positive, the figure after deducting non-recurring items remained in the red at -65.13 million yuan — an 87.84% reduction in loss from the previous year. Non-recurring gains totaled 343 million yuan, driven largely by 279 million yuan in revenue from licensing patents and proprietary technology to UNT Advanced, which contributed 256 million yuan to net profit, alongside 270 million yuan in gains from asset disposals. During the period, UNT's gross margin improved to 12.71%, up 9.17 percentage points.
Breaking down the sectors, AI operations emerged as the core growth engine, with revenue surging 84.31%. UNT has built a comprehensive power semiconductor technology matrix for AI data center power supplies and established a full platform spanning active chips to silicon photonics in optical interconnects. Its foundational automotive business grew 3.53%, with products covering more than 90% of domestic new-energy vehicle makers. Meanwhile, revenue from high-end consumer electronics and industrial control climbed 31.76% and 21.29%, respectively.
On the capacity front, UNT launched a Phase 4 project in June with a total investment of roughly 20 billion yuan. The plan includes a production line for 12-inch automotive-grade mixed-signal chips capable of 50,000 wafers per month. Once operational, this will push UNT's total wafer manufacturing capacity past 500,000 wafers monthly (8-inch equivalent). In the first half, wafer output hit 1.48 million units (8-inch equivalent) — a 28.86% jump — while the ratio of depreciation and amortization to revenue dropped to 41.13%.
