WRC 2026 | PUDU D5 Tackles Live Obstacle Course as Semi-Humanoid PUDU D7 Debuts

Edited by Aya From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich- At the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC 2026), Pudu Robotics centered its presence on the theme "One Brain, Multiple Forms, Scenario Intelligence." The company showcased a suite of products, including the PUDU D5 quadruped robot and the humanoid PUDU D7, alongside the scenario-specific solutions they power.

A standout at the show, the industrial-grade PUDU D5 quadruped tackled a "complex environment autonomous navigation challenge" on site. Through dynamic demonstrations—autonomous navigation, continuous stair climbing, traversing gravel roads, and navigating narrow passages—the machine highlighted its motion control, perception, and path planning capabilities across difficult terrain.

Beyond the obstacle course, the PUDU D5 highlighted solutions for firefighting, power grid inspection, and industrial applications. Paired with a range of professional payloads, the robot demonstrated its ability to operate intelligently in high-risk, high-intensity, and unstructured environments.

In firefighting scenarios, the PUDU D5 can be equipped with water cannons, pulse fire suppression guns, and inert gas systems. It replaces human responders in hazardous areas—marked by high temperatures, toxicity, or explosion risks—to conduct remote suppression operations. This enables rapid response, safe handling, and modular task switching, offering a safer, more efficient solution for petrochemical plants, logistics hubs, industrial zones, and forest fire control.

For power grid inspections, the PUDU D5 utilizes dual-light gimbals, acoustic-visual modules, and robotic arms to autonomously perform equipment checks, temperature monitoring, partial discharge detection, meter reading, and remote operations. Suited for high-risk environments like power plants and substations, it ensures round-the-clock intelligent inspection and remote maintenance.

In industrial settings, leveraging multi-sensor fusion and AI recognition, the PUDU D5 simultaneously captures visible light and thermal imaging data while detecting gas leaks and identifying abnormal sound sources. Capable of 24/7 autonomous patrol, it is widely deployed across chemical, energy, manufacturing, and warehousing environments.

Meanwhile, the humanoid PUDU D7 took on the role of "photographer volunteer" at the JD.com exhibition area, using a Polaroid camera to snap photos for visitors and print them on the spot.

Beyond these two flagship models, Pudu Robotics featured a lineup of established commercial products, including the Bella Pro, CC1 Pro, MT1 Max, and T300. Spanning delivery, cleaning, and industrial applications, the showcase highlighted the company's proven ability to deploy robots across commercial service sectors.

To date, Pudu Robotics has established four product lines: service delivery, commercial cleaning, industrial delivery, and general embodied intelligence. With cumulative shipments exceeding 130,000 units, the company serves 16 major industries across 85 countries and regions.
