WRC 2026 | X-Humanoid Unveils Two Benchmark Products, Partners With Mercedes-Benz

Edited by Aya From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich- At the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC 2026), Beijing Innovation Center of Humanoid Robotics Co., Ltd. (X-Humanoid) took the wraps off two flagship products: the Pelican-Unify unified embodied intelligence model and the lightweight TianGong Omni robot. Together, they inject fresh momentum into the sector — one targeting the "brain," the other the "body."

The company's unified model integrates a trio of core capabilities: VLM visual understanding, an action model, and a World Foundation Model (WFM). This architecture bridges the entire intelligent loop — from understanding and reasoning to rehearsal and execution — and has been successfully deployed on the Tianyi hardware platform.

Compatible with a wide range of hardware, the architecture allows a single "brain" to drive multiple robot models across various scenarios. Its significantly improved generalization offers developers a ready-to-use, scalable foundation for general embodied intelligence.

Meanwhile, StarSea officially commercialized Pelican VL-2.0. As the first embodied large model in China to secure approval from the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), Pelican-Unify supports task planning, intent understanding, and human-machine interaction.

Beyond the software, the lightweight TianGong Omni humanoid robot made its debut at the show.

Standing just 1.35 meters tall and weighing 39 kilograms, TianGong Omni balances flexibility with payload capacity. It is designed for tight-space operations, research, guided tours, emergency rescue, and home services. The robot comes pre-integrated with a mature motor control "cerebellum" and a high-compute multimodal perception system, supporting edge deployment of large models. Leveraging the Huisi Kaiwu open ecosystem, TianGong Omni also allows for secondary development, lowering the barrier to entry and costs for developers.

On the show floor, TianGong Omni demonstrated its agility, balance control, and ability to navigate complex terrain while handling multiple tasks. The robot navigated plum blossom piles, climbed stairs, engaged in avatar interactions, and handled office printing.

X-Humanoid also announced a deep strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz. At the event, TianGong 3.0 took on the role of a "Silicon-based Product Specialist," showcasing its fully autonomous commercial capabilities.

Leveraging its full-stack "big and small brain" technology, TianGong 3.0 perceived its surroundings in real time, planned routes autonomously, and precisely navigated through crowds — all without human intervention. The robot independently handled reception duties, vehicle explanations, and customer inquiries, validating its service capabilities in highly dynamic public spaces.

Looking ahead, TianGong 3.0 is set to enter Mercedes-Benz dealerships, auto shows, sporting events, livestreams, and customer lifestyle events. It will provide end-to-end services ranging from reception and vehicle promotion to interactive experiences and delivery ceremonies.
