New Passenger Car Registrations by Province 2006

A total of 3,690,661 new passenger cars were registered in China in 2006, representing a marked improvement (+22.07%) with regard to the previous year. The top ten provinces in terms of registrations accounted for 67% of total registrations, amongst them, Guangdong and Beijing saw their growth slowing down, while Zhengjiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan and He'nan Provice remained at a steady high-speed growth.
