Preview of Hongqi HS7 ahead of Auto Guangzhou 2018

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- FAW Group's premium car brand Hongqi will reportedly launch the all-new mid/full-sized SUV HS7 at the upcoming Auto Guangzhou 2018. The new SUV has made its debut at the 5th World Internet Conference earlier this month, and is expected to hit the market next year.

Local media has got the photos of the Hongqi HS7 at the exhibition hall before the auto show kicks off. At the front face, the new model features a massive iconic “waterfall” intake grille. The polygonal headlight on each side contains two lenses and a C-shaped LED daytime running light bar. Besides, the protruding red trim on the hood chimes in properly with the other red trim in the exact middle of the intake grille.

The Hongqi HS7 largely uses straight lines for its body sides and carries the glossy dual five-spoke aluminium alloy rims. At the rear end, the taillights designed in an orderly manner are outlined inside by a LED light bar.

Powering the new SUV is a CA6GV30TD 3.0L turbocharged direct injection engine independently developed by FAW Group that can generate a maximum output of 248kW and peak torque of 445N·m, hooked up to a 8-speed automatic transmission from AISIN.
