All-new Audi A6L makes first presence at Auto Guangzhou 2018

Guangzhou (Gasgoo)- The all-new Audi A6L made its debut at the Auto Guangzhou 2018 that kicks off on November 16. Based on the MLB Evo platform, the new model is about to go on sale in 2019.

Adopting the latest family design language, the all-new Audi A6L features a pretty big hexagonal intake grille adorned with banner-shaped chrome trims inside. The stylish matrix LED headlights and the air vents sitting in the fog light area look quite sporty.

Straight lines of both body sides deliver a spiffy visual impression. Various sizes of rims are offered to customers. A chrome trim running through the rear end connects LED taillights on both sides. Besides, the new model packs a sporty exhaust layout with a single exhaust pipe on each side.

The all-new Audi A6L maintains the interior design of the Audi A8. A 12.3-inch full liquid crystal instrument panel is able to show information through manipulating the newly-designed three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. The center console is equipped with two touchscreen displays—the 10.1-inch display supports applications such as multimedia, navigation and vehicle setting; the 8.6-inch display is available for handwriting recognition and adjustment of air-conditioning and seats. Moreover, the all-new-designed electronic gear lever augments the futuristic sense for the vehicle.

The all-new Audi A6L measures 5,038mm/5,050mm in length, 1,886mm in width and 1,475mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,024mm, which is larger than that of the existing model. It is noteworthy that the lengthened wheelbase already exceeds that of Audi A8's standard-wheelbase version up for sales outside China.

The new model will be powered by a 2.0L or 3.0L turbocharged engine along with a 48V mild hybrid system. Two variants of the 2.0T engine can pump out maximum power of 165kW and 140kW respectively and 350 N·m and 320 N·m of torque peak. The 3.0T engine is good for 250kW and 500 N·m. The 7-speed dual clutch transmission is used across the entire lineup, while the top-spec version is fitted with a quattro four-wheel drive system.
