Dongfeng Citroen C-Quatre given to buyer today
Shanghai, September 2 (Gasgoo.com) The Chinese-made Citroen 4 (C4) cars were delivered to buyers in Shanghai today, said local media this afternoon. The Citroen 4 hatchback has been much ordered after its price, from 108,000 yuan ($15,800) to 168,000 yuan, was announced on in late July.
The C-Quatre hatchback made by Dongfeng Citroen, Dongfeng Motor's joint venture with PSA Peugeot-Citroen, comes in three versions (fashion, comfort, luxury), powered by a 1.6L or 2.0L engine. The 2.0L 16V engine, also used in the C-Triomphe, adopts the continuously variable valve timing system (VVT) and can generate a power output of 108 kW and a peak torque of 200 Nm, which delivers exceptionally pleasurable driving.
The C4 car made its Chinese debut on June 28 and was displayed at the Shanghai family auto show in Mid-August for a close preview by with its potential consumers. Dongfeng Citroen 4S stores nationwide have received orders for about 6,000 units of this car since its price was announced on July 28. Its China journey officially started today as the "golden key" to the car was ceremonially given to the first buyer of the locally made C4.
