New-generation Mazda 6 named “Ruiyi” in Chinese

Shanghai, September 8 (Gasgoo.com) The second generation Mazda 6 had its Chinese name "Ruiyi" (literally meaning "wise wing") released officially today, which indicates Chinese-made Ruiyi is oncoming, announced FAW Mazda Motor Sales Co., Ltd, according to autosina.com today.

Offering plenty of Mazda's trademark "Zoom Zoom," Ruiyi inherits the first generation Mazda 6's sports performance and hi-tech features and also combines convenience, safety, with environment matter together.    

Ruiyi, as the second generation Mazda 6, develops otherness from the first generation Mazda 6 with "Zoom-Zoom Evolution" as its design conception. The new model targets the high-end market of mid and high-grade cars as it's positioned significantly higher than the first-generation Mazda 6, said FAW-Mazda's vice general manager Yu Hongjiang.

A remarkable change made by FAW-Mazda is that the automaker pushed forward an all-new segment dividing standard by new hands and old hands according to consumers' driving perfomance. Ruiyi can delivers special design targeting new hands' demand for driving convenience as well as running perfomance and comfort.

The first batch of 2.5L Ruiyi will go on sale in China at the beginning of 2009, priced at over 200,000 yuan ($29,197).
