Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile Co., Ltd. is scheduled to launch three new car models in 2009, including two Nissan-branded models and one Dongfeng-branded model, said the Sino-Japanese sport utility vehicle (SUV) maker based in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, north China.

The auto joint venture has become part of the China strategy of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., the important partner of Dongfeng Motor Corp., one of China's three auto giants.

The venture is considering selling Dongfeng cars via Nissan Motor's marketing network around the world, said a vice president of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., a significant joint venture between the two auto giants.

Zhengzhou Nissan plans to reach a production and sales volume of over 100,000 in 2010, and over 200,000 in 2012, when the venture will make at least five Nissan and Dongfeng light-duty commercial vehicles.

In addition, the venture is assigned to produce 20% to 25% of Nissan LCV light-duty commercial vehicles, disclosed a Japanese vice president at Dongfeng Motor.
