Shanghai, November 12 (Gasgoo.com) At the end of this year or early 2009, Beijing Hyundai will launch an all new medium- to high-end sedan model to the Chinese market. Like the Hyundai Elantra released by the joint venture in the first half this year, this all-new luxury Hyundai model is also specially designed for the Chinese consumers, said xinhuanet.com today.

An insider from Beijing Hyundai said that the new model, now codenamed NFC, is based on Korea's 7th-generation Sonata sedan. Beijing Hyundai has tailored the NFC model to the increasing discerning tastes of Chinese customers. The front bumper, rear bumper, roof, side tail light, among others, of the car body have been totally improved at great cost.

The NFC model measures 4,815mm x 1,832mm x 1,475mm with a 2.73mm wheelbase. It features the state-of-the-art intelligent push-button start-up system, world-famous Infinity and JBL subwoofers, Chinese-language DVD electronic navigation system and shark fin antenna to deliver comfortable, easy driving enjoyment to Chinese customers.

In addition to the NFC model, Beijing Hyundai will also roll out the 2009 Tuscan city SUV, Elantra premium model and 2009 Accent in the coming few months. After the NFC model hits the market, the company will stop producing the Sonata NF, which cannot satisfy most Chinese customers due to the unreasonable market positioning.
