Dongfeng CV exports exceed 10,000 units in '08
Shanghai, December 30 (Gasgoo.com) By the end of the 2008, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company exported 10,682 commercial vehicles, increased 51.28% year on year, over-fulfilling its annual export target, said sina.com today, citing the company's latest business report.
The Dongfeng CV company, a division of China's third largest carmaker Dongfeng Motor, had set its 2008 export target at 9,000 vehicles, and now the company has finished 118.69% of this task.
The company's new heavy-duty truck Kinland (Tianlong) and Hercules (Dalishen) series have become favorites of Dongfeng's customers. By the end of November, Dongfeng had exported more than 6,752 Kinland and Hercules trucks.
The company set up its oversea business department in May 2006. With two years of development, it has established three strategic oversea markets, which are Iran, Russia and Vietnam. Due to good sales in Peru, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria, Dongfeng is likely to choose them as another three strategic markets.
