Shanghai, January 4 (Gasgoo.com) Ren Yong, vice general manager with Dongfeng Nissan, a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Corp and Japan-based Nissan Motor Co., may go to head PSA's Chinese venture Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company Ltd (DPCA), within some months, a report from the China Business Journal said today.

Citing an informed source, the report said Dongfeng Motor would held its eighth annual meeting participated by Communist Party members of the company before the Chinese Spring Festival (25th Jan), when this personnel change is expected to be announced.

Liu Weidong, currently general manager of DPCA, would leave the venture after more than seven years of service there but he would continue to work at Dongfeng Motor.

DPCA has earlier cut this year's sales target to 200,000 units from the original target of 280,000 as sales fell, with sales targets of the Peugeot and Citroen cut by 31% and 21% year on year respectively.

Conversely, Dongfeng Nissan is expecting sales of 345,000 cars in the Chinese market this year, with a further growth of 14.5 percent for 2009.
