Youngman Auto to roll out all-new SUV in H2 '09
Shanghai, January 5 (Gasgoo.com) Youngman Automobile Group Co., one of China's leading manufacturers of luxury buses and high-quality commercial trucks, will roll out Chinese-made RCR (Chinese name Jingsu) and introduce to the Chinese market the SUV produced on the Lotus platform, auto163.net said, citing sources of Youngman Automobile.
The automaker said it would focus on building two production bases located in Tai’an, Shandong province and Xiaoshan, Zhejiang province in one or two years. The output and sales target of Youngman Automobile is fixed at 30,000 to 50,000 units for 2009.
Early in 2007, American electric car pioneer ZAP and Youngman Automotive Group had signed a joint venture agreement to establish electric vehicles research and development centre in California, U.S. and build in China the electric vehicle production base, whose products will sell to the global markets.
Sources said the electric project between ZAP and Youngman made no progress now.
