Beijing Hyundai's Jan 1-19 sales hit 30,000 units

Shanghai, January 21 (Gasgoo.com) On Jan.1-19, Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., a joint venture between South Korea's biggest carmaker and Beijing Automotive Industry Corp, saw sales hit 30,000 units, a possible record of single month sales for the automaker, xinhua.net said.

Beijing Hyundai Motor Co. rolled off line its 100,000th Elantra Yuedong on Jan. 20, just less than 10 months after it started the Yuedong into production.

In 2008, China's passenger vehicle market had a growth of less than 7%. However, Beijing Hyundai posted output and sales growth of 29.5% and 27.4% respectively over 2007. The automaker saw its growth standing among the top three passenger vehicles makers in China.
