Decoma gets GM '08 supplier recognition award

Decoma International, an operating unit of Magna International Inc., was among 10 suppliers honored by General Motors for their contributions and performance in 2008. The ceremony took place on January 15, 2009, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.

"These suppliers made a positive contribution to the success of General Motors during some very difficult times," said Bo Andersson, GM Group Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "Despite enduring unprecedented economic conditions, these suppliers responded to the challenges of competing in a global industry and staying aligned with GM."

"The award is a great testament to the Decoma team and their continued dedication toward delivering high quality products and service to our customers."

This is the eighth year GM has honored suppliers at the North American International Auto Show. The supplier awards recognize total performance and include such criteria as quality, cost and delivery as well as significant contributions to GM's products.
